Family Lackner - your hosts for 40 years

Tyrolean hospitality

Since 1986, Rosmarie and Balthasar Lackner have been dedicated to your well-being. Typical Tyrolean hospitality and exceptional service have always been hallmarks of the Hotel Jagdschlössl at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range! Following the takeover in December 2025, their daughter Julia and her partner Alexander are now continuing the long family tradition. Their daughter Theresa, after completing her master's degree, lives in Vienna, works at a communications agency, and manages our social media presence.

40 years journey through time

  • Since 1787

    A purchase contract from 1787, in which the property is already mentioned, is still preserved today: the former Hintersulz farm was sold to Peter Hilzsauer by the lordly hunter Michael Kirchdoffer. Since then, the property has been owned by the Lackner family today.

    In September 1985 the groundbreaking for the "Gasthof Jagdhof" finally took place and in July 1986 the "Jagdhof" opened with five rooms and a dining room!

  • The 90s

    A highlight was the construction of the Holzknechthütte in the summer of 1997 and the construction of the large pond in the spring of 1998 and

    • Building of the three little castle towers
    • Expansion to a total of 25 rooms
    • Enlargement of the dining room
    • Completion of the bar and reception
    • Expansion of the 3rd floor, installation of a lift

  • 21st century

    • Relocation of the historic Emplhof
    • Completion of the Hintersulz Suites residence
    • Extension of the winter garden
    • Establishment of the horse stable
    • Expansion of the family terrace studios
    • Extension of the sauna and relaxation room
    • Renovation of the rooms on the 1st floor
    • Construction of two more studios

  • From 2010

    • Renovation of the Romeo and Juliet turrets
    • New construction of the entire kitchen
    • Construction of the new wood chip plant
    • Renovation of the Geierwally
    • Extension of the underground car park
    • Redesign of the forecourt
    • Extension of the sunbathing area with a quiet oasis

  • 2020/21

    • Opening of the Schlösslschmiede
    • New construction of the double room Kaiserpanorama Superior and double room Erker

  • 2021/22

    • New reception and entrance area
    • New bar and panorama restaurant
    • New pool and wellness area
